Recent guidance issued by NHS England has confirmed the move away from the ‘Net Promoter’ scoring methodology to a simpler ‘Percentage Recommended’ and ‘Percentage Not Recommended’ method.

The percentage measures are calculated as follows:

  • Recommended (%) = very good + good / very good + good + neither + poor + very poor + don't know x 100
  • Not Recommended (%) = very poor + poor / very good + good + neither + poor + very poor + don't know x 100

For further information about the selection of the scoring method please see the NHS FFT Review published in June 2014

  • Can never get appointments
  • It remains difficult to get an appointment in morning and afternoon. However we do tend to get an appointment which is important as it is mainly for my child who has been unwell a lot. We have never been made to feel a burden and have always been happy with the experience with staff.I know it's stretched and appreciate it's difficult for the surgery but I have mentioned before more investment is needed in staff such as Advanced Practitioners (Nurses or Paramedics) or trained up Assistant Practitioners. Weekend appointments need to be available to alleviate pressures during the week and also A&E services.

Not Recommended

  • This was based on receptionist attitudes. One or two are fine and polite. The others are rude and abrupt.i worked for a gp surgery for over 20 years and we would never have got away with the way they speak to patients. They forget you hear every word while waiting on reception. Also answering calls on reception is wrong. And if they have to then train then not to repeat people's names etc out loud.
  • Sorry should have been 1 very good (excellent) on your text mistake because way it was numbered e.g 5 should stand for 5 STAR
  • Booked a phone call never happened this morning still waiting to get thou 35 mins to ask
  • Why did you ask me?
  • First appointment this week apparently didn't exist. Was for next week. Hmm Another appointment URGENT was cancelled this morning. Only because I made a fuss one was amazingly found at 2pm or I would have had to wait another week. I'm trying to start a family, already gone private for a few things and I am dreading when I conceive to use this surgery. Miss our old surgery back in Orpington with such a heavy heart.
  • I arrived for a blood test to be told the nurse was unwell. Whist making a new appointment, the came to get me. The receptionist said "she kooks unwell". Off she went.

Passive

  • The initial appointment was for a blood test and subsequent review two weeks later. I had the blood test but when I went to make the review appointment I was informed that the dates were only available up to 10th May. This job means that I have to phone next week to try and book an appointment for the required two weeks later.
  • I had to wait for an hour not go at waiting
  • Couldn't make an appointment for something I've been asked to come in for
