New Telephone System - Tuesday 26th July 2022
We are pleased to advise patients that we have a new telephone system about to be installed, and this will be live from Tuesday 26th July 2022.
We are working closely with the new telephone provider to minimise disruption and have been advised that there should not be any disruption to the service during the switch over. If however there is any unexpected disruption please visit the surgery for any urgent matters that cannot wait.
Patients will not notice a difference in terms of numbers to call but you will notice that the messages and options you hear are slightly different. Please listen carefully to the menu options.
The new system will be cloud based and thus gives us greater capacity and accuracy in managing our calls. This includes better queue management with a new callback facility offered when a certain number is reached in the queue instead of patients having to stay on the phone. There will be less occurrences of calls becoming lost within the system and not being answered. The system is completely customisable at practice level offering us the flexibility to adapt the system to the continuous changing needs of the practice and patients. Every call, both in and outbound will also be recorded.
