Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Part time – 3-4 days per week

Salary – Negotiable

Due to retirement, from April 2022 an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic, committed and caring Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly team at Thornhills Medical Practice.

The successful post holder will be an experienced Advance Nurse Practitioner and Independent Nurse Prescriber. They will ideally have experience of primary care and must be confident working autonomously and independently within their professional boundaries and as part of a team whilst carrying out clinical assessment, triage and consultations, providing diagnosis, treatment, evaluation of care and prescribing.

They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care for patients within the general practice. They will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing support to GP’s and practice team as required.

Experienced Clinical Administrator

Full Time – 37 hours per week

Thornhills Medical Practice is looking to recruit an experienced Clinical Administrator to join our friendly team and to start as soon as possible.

The post holder will have clinical knowledge and understanding and clinical administration experience. They will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of clinical data administrative duties to support the multi-disciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to, read coding information into patients’ clinical records, extracting data from clinical correspondence and adding to patient clinical records, monitoring QoF targets and recall systems, running searches and audits, notes summarising. They will also be responsible for assisting with running routine daily IT checks on the server, IT fault reporting and resolution. The post holder must work as part of a team, have the ability to organise and prioritise their own workload on a day to day basis.

Full or Part Time Salaried GP or Partner

Phlebotomist

Thornhills Medical Practice is looking to recruit an experienced Phlebotomist to join our friendly team to start as soon as possible

We are looking for someone who is available to work 15 to 20 hours per week between 8am and 1pm, Monday to Friday. Flexibility is essential as during times of staff absences or shortages you will be required to work altered and/or additional hours/days. You may also be required to cover on some occasions Saturday mornings to assist with Improved Access clinics.

Patient Services Advisor

Hours – Part time - 30 per week / Job share considered

Thornhills Medical Practice is looking to recruit an experienced Patient Services Advisor to join our team. We are a supportive, forward thinking GP training practice with a happy, reliable workforce providing care to approx. 14,300 patients. There is a strong emphasis on high quality patient care, education and personal development. Training will be provided however as a minimum, customer service experience and excellent communication (oral and written) are essential. Experience of working in a GP surgery is desirable. You must work as part of a team, have the ability to adapt and embrace positively to change and observe strict rules about confidentiality at all times.

30 hours per week (Job share considered). Fixed shifts however flexibility is essential.

  • Monday: 1:30pm to 6:30pm
  • Tuesday: 8:00am to 1:30pm
  • Wednesday: 1:00pm to 6:00pm
  • Thursday: 1:30pm to 6:30pm
  • Friday: 8:00am to 6:00pm

The frequency of these shifts may vary to cover for staff absences. Weekly rotas are given out to staff in advance. You will also be required to cover on some occasions evenings and Saturday mornings to assist with improved access, extended hours and other clinics.
